Overview
The I-RECs Grouped Device Issuance is a collection of small solar rooftop I-REC(E) devices (each less than 250 KWp) with digital data that are submitted for bulk issuance. Within REHash, all grouped devices in a grouped issuance will belong to the same COD and country.
Purpose and Function
The grouped issuance will aggregate renewable energy generated from multiple individual devices to facilitate easy REC generation, trading, and subsequently redemption, thus overcoming the hurdle of handling multiple individual RECs. Approval of the underlying grouped devices will also require much fewer documentation compared to the standard I-REC(E) devices approval process, resulting in a faster turnaround time.
Verification Procedures
All group devices undergo strict verification to ensure compliance with I-REC(E) Data Verifier standards and industry best practices. These procedures validate REC generation accuracy and integrity, certify the existence of the underlying solar system, and enhance the reliability of the certificates produced.
